Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to develop and implement machine learning solutions, working independently to drive impactful results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects from inception, utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques.

Job Responsibility:

Design and implement machine learning models, including contextual bandit algorithms, XGBoost, k-means clustering, and linear regression
Utilize Amazon SageMaker to build, deploy, and optimize ML solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver actionable insights
Independently manage and execute data science projects from concept to completion
Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and patterns
Develop scalable data pipelines and workflows to support machine learning models
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data and models through rigorous testing and validation
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes

Requirements:

Proven experience in data science and machine learning, with the ability to work independently
Strong proficiency in Amazon SageMaker and XGBoost
Solid understanding of algorithms such as contextual bandit, k-means clustering, and linear regression
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to design and implement end-to-end machine learning solutions
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, or Mathematics
