Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and support data-driven insights across our networking equipment portfolio. In this role, you will analyze device telemetry, performance metrics, and network behavior to improve product reliability, operational efficiency, and customer experience. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, network engineers, and product managers to turn raw data into actionable intelligence. The role involves using common data science tools such as Power BI and Python.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in the analysis and validation of data sets, solutions, and user experience
  • Aid in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of client metadata based on analytic objectives
  • Load data into infrastructure and contribute to hypothesis matrix creation
  • Prepare portions of data for Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and hypothesis testing
  • Contribute to building models for overall solutions, validate results and performance, and assist in selecting the best model
  • Support research, identification, and delivery of data science solutions to business problems
  • Assist in visualizing model insights, user experience, and configuration tools for analytics models

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science
  • Basic knowledge of data science methodologies and understanding of business requirements
  • Skills in data mapping, transfer, and migration
  • Familiarity with analytics software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, Python)
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning, data integration, modeling, and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Ab Initio, Talend)
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of relevant data programming languages

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless networking)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Exposure to big-data technologies or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, logs, telemetry)
  • Experience working with time-series data
  • Knowledge of anomaly detection or predictive modeling techniques
  • Exposure to DevOps or embedded systems environments
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
