We are currently seeking a Data Scientist Sr (Remote) to join our team in Mexico, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate closely with business teams to ideate and align on Data Science solutions for addressing diverse business challenges
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on source data from the Big Data Platform data lake, Data Science Platform, and other relevant Battery Manufacturing datasets to address specific use cases
Develop, maintain, and enhance Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) and Computer Vision (CV) (Must have) models using transformed data, primarily leveraging Python and Spark-ML algorithms
Apply optimization techniques, including hyperparameter tuning, to improve the performance of ML and DL models
Provide decision-support analytics to assist in business strategy formulation or address specific business challenges when needed
Actively participate in daily stand-ups, weekly sprint planning sessions, quarterly planning, and other sprint ceremonies, providing progress updates and collaborating with the team
Engage in ideation sessions with business user groups to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
Present insights, findings, and results clearly to product owners and stakeholders, ensuring they understand and can make informed decisions
Contribute to validating and prioritizing the product backlog, managing risks, and ensuring the smooth execution of sprint tasks
Develop data-driven products that provide clear insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences through visualizations and presentations
Work collaboratively with product managers, senior scientists, engineers, and other team members in an agile and scrum environment to fulfill modeling needs
Requirements:
PHD
2 yrs of work experience
Manufacturing experience (machine data, IOT data)
Strong interest in exploring all aspects of data and possess the ability to communicate insights effectively
Proficient in analyzing and modeling big data utilizing statistical, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision techniques
Expertise in transforming ambiguous questions into impactful experiments, analysis, or models
Familiarity with modeling requirements for Customer 360 and Customer Journey
Experience with Machine Learning platforms (AWS SageMaker, Databricks), Data Pipelines (Spark and Airflow), CI/CD, GitHub, and visualization (Power BI or Tableau)
Have a degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics, with an advanced degree being desirable
Nice to have:
Computer vision/Gen AI
AWS experience
Experience with deploying models in production
Familiar with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language models (VLMs)
An advanced degree (MS or PhD)
Hands-on experience with developing Machine Learning models for manufacturing use cases
Design, implement, and maintain deployment pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment of ML/DL models, follow established ML Ops standards
