Job Description:

You will work with star engineers and product designers in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, hybrid technology + operations environment to build tools, contextual experiences and implement policies to engender trust among our users and promote safety globally. You should be comfortable in uncharted territory as we build unique technologies for eaters, riders, drivers and every user who touches the Uber community. We need your skills and enthusiasm to make it happen.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with new product experimentation including design, roll-out, and monitoring
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as product management, safety operations, and engineering teams to design, deploy, and measure the impact of new products and policies
  • Create metrics and reporting functions to measure and monitor safety products on our platform
  • Effectively and proactively communicate insights and drive projects to improve safety
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to build new solutions to tackle safety challenges

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or Engineering
  • 4+ years of SQL experience (Hive, Spark, and other big data tools a plus)
  • 4+ years of Python experience (experience in R a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience working with experimentation and measurement
  • 3+ years of experience working with at least 1 visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, etc)

Nice to have:

  • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or Engineering
  • Hands-on experience working on LLM projects including shipping to production
  • Experience working within a highly XFN organization, including stakeholders across Product, Eng, Ops, and more.
