This role will be responsible for the careful statistical analysis of mental health and EHR data to better understand our patients, track their health throughout treatment, and help inform treatment decisions. This role involves designing experimental and observational studies, planning and carrying out the statistical analysis on multiple treatment outcomes with experimental and real-world observational data, developing methods to track patient progress and treatment outcomes, and communicating the results clearly and effectively to stakeholders within Equip and to the larger eating disorder research community.
Job Responsibility:
Build statistical models that track patient outcomes and are used to inform treatment decisions
Help design experimental and observational studies and write the statistical plans for them
Extract, clean, transform, and optimize data for analysis
Analyze patient data, write internal reports, present to stakeholders, and publish in academic journals
Translate complex findings into understandable reports, visualizations, and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
Work with cross-functional teams to understand needs and identify where careful analysis and statistical research can support treatment
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ph.D or Masters degree with 5+ years of industry experience required
3+ years experience in developing mathematical and statistical models that measure mental health outcomes used to understand patients, treatment outcomes, and inform treatment decisions
3+ years experience analyzing experimental data, observational data, and handling missing data in real-world treatment settings
3+ years experience with experimental and observational study design
3+ years experience with and deep understanding of causal inference, multilevel models, and other advanced statistical techniques
Established track record in academic writing and publishing
Proficient in SQL, Github, and statistical software (R preferred)
Ability to write clear, maintainable, extensible, and testable code
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment
