We are establishing a new Competence Center for Data & AI in Brno and Ostrava. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Data Scientist who will support international projects in the financial services domain. You will work on machine learning models that improve decision-making in areas such as risk, fraud detection, customer analytics, and regulatory compliance — with the opportunity to collaborate closely with AI engineers and domain experts.
Job Responsibility
Develop and validate ML models for financial services (risk, fraud, customer insights, compliance)
Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring model quality and interpretability
Cooperate with business/domain experts to understand requirements and deliver actionable solutions
Ensure compliance with data regulations (GDPR) and internal quality standards
Support model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management in collaboration with DevOps teams
Requirements
Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Strong experience with Python and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation
Experience working with unstructured data (text analytics, NLP) is an advantage
Familiarity with MLOps principles and CI/CD practices
English at a professional working level (C1)
Ability to work in an international, distributed team environment
Nice to have
Experience in financial services or regulated environments
Understanding of explainability techniques (SHAP, LIME)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Experience with Databricks platform
Familiarity with graph databases or semantic technologies (not required)
