Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in our data transformation with the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions across materials management
  • Develop SQL scripts to create reports from our data warehouse or Microsoft Azure Data Lake
  • Support and develop Python scripts for data transformation (ETL)
  • Develop, improve and maintain our Data Governance tools in Access & Power BI
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with cross functional business stakeholders
  • Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze, develop problem statements, and utilize data to drive solutions and insight into our inventory control practices and supply chain processes
  • Validate all development work for quality and ensure requirements are met
  • Conduct walk-through and sign off sessions
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable documentation
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis requirements as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or other related fields combined with 5 or more years of experience in developing business intelligence solutions in a supply chain environment
  • Masters or other relevant certification, after-market supply chain management and aerospace industry context knowledge are considered as strong assets
  • continuous improvement mindset with relevant experience in improving business processes
  • passion and strong capacity for big data analytics using relevant technologies
  • knowledge of core supply chain concepts, processes, and systems
  • appropriate interpersonal skills and communication methods
  • comfortable working with big data, cloud-based computing, interacting with IT solutions and technical personnel
  • proficient with MS Suite (Required), Advance excel (Required), Power BI (Required), Azure Synapse (Required), Python (Required), SQL (Required), Access (Preferred), R Studio (Preferred)
  • Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory for Montreal, and an asset for Toronto
