The Data Scientist 2 is an independent contributor who develops and applies statistical, machine learning, and optimization techniques to solve well-defined business problems. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and scalable analytical solutions while continuing to build technical expertise.
Job Responsibility
Build and validate machine learning, statistical, and optimization models for business use cases
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify actionable insights and recommend solutions
Develop automated analytical workflows, reports, dashboards, and reusable data pipelines
Assist Senior Data Scientists to evaluate model performance and document methodologies
Present technical findings and business impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into data science solutions
Contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
1–3 years of relevant experience
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Working knowledge of machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, tree-based models, deep learning) and statistical analysis
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to have
Spark/PySpark experience
Exposure to cloud platforms, MLOps, or Generative AI concepts
