Job Description:

The Data Science Senior Analyst applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. This role supports data analytics, modeling, prototyping, and provides ad hoc reports/solutions for AML program needs and other stakeholders. The role requires strategic analysis, problem-solving, and strong technical expertise.

Job Responsibility:

conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis
mine and analyze data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality
deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to determine data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan
consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications
apply comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards, recommend solutions
lead system change process from requirements through implementation, provide user and operational support of application to business users
formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards
consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment, identify and communicate risks and impacts
drive communication between business leaders and IT, exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information
align operational strategies, business processes, operations, and systems to achieve substantial benefit to the company’s performance
meet deadlines with balance between accuracy and timeliness
drive continuous improvement programs across all areas of responsibility maintaining industry leading knowledge of the tools, systems, and processes available to enhance the AML program

Requirements:

3-5 years’ experience in business and data analysis, process improvement and project management using Oracle and HIVE
ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
experience using Statistical Analysis/ Machine Learning and Model Development with large data sets
proficiency in some of these tools like SQL, SAS, Python, and R
demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
methodical attention to detail
experience in AML is preferred
advanced English required
studies in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics
experience handling data / Data Modeling / Data Analysis
good communication and presenting skills
technical skills: Python and R, strong in SQL
banking experience desirable
