Job Description:

The Data Science Senior Analyst role at Citi involves applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge to develop techniques, improving processes within the AML System, Data & Analytics department. Responsibilities include data analysis, consulting on system processes, and executing impactful projects. The candidate will work onsite in Singapore, joining Citi's Global Legal Affairs and Compliance division.

Job Responsibility:

conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis
mine and analyze data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality
deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to determine data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan
consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications
apply comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards
recommends solutions
lead system change process from requirements through implementation
provide user and operational support of application to business users
formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards
impact the business directly by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others, impact own team and closely related work teams
consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
identify and communicate risks and impacts
drive communication between business leaders and IT
exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information
perform other duties and functions as assigned
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

5-8 year’s experience in business and data analysis, process improvement and project management
ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
methodical attention to detail
experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets
