Job Description:

The Data Science Senior Analyst applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes, coordinates and contributes to the function's objectives, evaluates complex issues, and communicates clearly with strong analytical skills. The role involves coaching, training new recruits, conducting strategic data analysis, developing data feeds, and ensuring compliance with regulations. A strong background in SQL, data analysis, and process improvement is required, along with effective communication and leadership skills.

Job Responsibility:

conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis
deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to determine data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan
understand and identify appropriate systems and processes working with Operations and Technology to ensure development and onboarding of data feeds are in line with business requirements
consults with business clients to determine system functional specifications
applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
consults with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards
recommends solutions
leads system change process from requirements through implementation
develop and build implementation of data feeds and identify and fix data quality issues from source
considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
identifies and communicates risks and impacts
performs other duties and functions as assigned
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

8+ years' experience in business and data analysis, process improvement
ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
good experience in basic technology development and good database (SQL Server) SQL queries experience for data analysis
demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
methodical attention to detail
experience in Data Dictionary Management, Data Lineage Management, Data Modelling, Managing and defining Critical Data Elements (CDE), Data Cataloging is a plus
good to have ETL Technology experience(Talend)
bachelor's/university degree or equivalent experience
