Job Description:

The Data Science Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role requiring expertise in data analysis, banking platform optimization, system specifications, and strategic data initiatives. This role involves developing techniques to improve processes, providing insights for AML programs, and leading analytics-driven solutions. Proficiency in tools like SQL, Python, and R, along with advanced communication skills and experience in AML, is desirable. The role is based in Ciudad De Mexico and requires hybrid work arrangements.

Job Responsibility:

conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and makes strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis
mines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality
delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to determine data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan
consults with business clients to determine system functional specifications
applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
consults with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards
recommends solutions
leads system change process from requirements through implementation
provides user and operational support of application to business users
formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards
impacts the business directly by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others
impacts own team and closely related work teams
considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
identifies and communicates risks and impacts
drives communication between business leaders and IT
performs other duties and functions as assigned
aligns operational strategies, business processes, operations, and systems to achieve substantial benefit to the company’s performance
meets deadlines with balance between accuracy and timeliness
drives continuous improvement programs across all areas of responsibility maintaining industry leading knowledge of the tools, systems, and processes available to enhance the AML program

Requirements:

3-5 years’ experience in business and data analysis, process improvement and project management using Oracle and HIVE
ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
experience using Statistical Analysis/ Machine Learning and Model Development with large data sets
proficiency in tools like SQL, SAS, Python, and R
demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
methodical attention to detail
experience in AML is preferred
bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Master/MBA degree desirable
advanced English required
studies in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics
experience handling data / Data Modeling / Data Analysis
good communication and presenting skills
technical skills: Python and R, strong in SQL
banking experience desirable
