Job Description:

The Data Science Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role which integrates industry expertise within a defined area, applies advanced analytical techniques, and has significant impact on project decision-making. The role involves data mining, strategic analysis, addressing business problems through comprehensive solutions, and executing complex projects while collaborating with business, risks, control, and technology teams.

Job Responsibility:

conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and makes strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis
mines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality
delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to determine data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan
consults with business clients to determine system functional specifications
leads system change process from requirements through implementation
provides user and operational support of application to business users
formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards
drives communication between business leaders and IT
appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made
performs other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements:

5-8 years experience in business and data analysis, process improvement and project management
ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem solving techniques
demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
methodical attention to detail
experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets
5 a 8 años de experiencia comprobada en el uso de herramientas para el análisis y/o modelado estadístico de grandes conjuntos de datos con Python, PySpark, Hive y SAS
experiencia deseable o conocimiento de herramientas para visualización de datos como Tableau, Cognos, etc., no solo en el uso de la herramienta, sino en la construcción de los componentes de información
experiencia deseable en el desarrollo e implementación de proyectos largos y complejos, participando con distintas áreas como Negocio, Riesgos, Control y Tecnología.

Nice to have:

knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Cognos
experience in developing and implementing long and complex projects involving multiple areas like Business, Risks, Control and Technology.
