Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms for tasks such as demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, or supply chain optimization
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights from large datasets related to manufacturing operations, customer behavior, and market dynamics
Design and execute experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different data-driven strategies
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into impactful data science solutions
Contribute to the development of data pipelines and infrastructure for data science applications
Communicate complex technical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Potentially contribute to research and publications related to your work
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program at an accredited college or university, graduating in December 2026 or May 2027, with a strong academic record
Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in: Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field
Strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and data visualization tools
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is highly desirable
For PhD candidates: Experience conducting independent research and contributing to publications is a plus
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship period (June 8 - August 14, 2026)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A strong analytical mindset and a passion for problem-solving
Ability to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
Ability to commute to our Waltham, MA or North Bethesda, MD office to work onsite for at least 3 days a week
