Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

Report directly to Global Head, have a strong influence on the digital strategy of the business
Key position in the Japan IT department | Work directly with business leaders in Japan

Requirements:

10+ years of relevant experience in data science/machine learning
3+ years of managerial experience leading data science teams
Expert-level knowledge of applied regression techniques (Linear, Logistic, Mixed models, Time Series, GLMs, Simultaneous Equations) and Neural Network models (sales forecasting)
Expertise in statistical data analysis and mathematical methodologies for unsupervised & supervised learning algorithms (neural nets, deep neural nets, boosted trees, SVMs)
Expert-level knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and large-scale distributed systems (Hadoop, Snowflake/Databricks)
Proven ability to conceive and coach the design of end-to-end scripted analytics solutions using Python, Scala, Java, or R, and modern analytical systems (Spark + Hadoop/Databricks/Snowflake)

Nice to have:

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) in Applied Econometrics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Analytics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Industry or consulting experience, along with strong project management skills
