Job Description:

Senior Vice President role serving as subject matter expert on data risk appetite planning, metric reviews, and analysis. Leads review and challenge of firm-wide efforts to manage data risk and monitoring of data risk reduction activities. Central role in ingestion and synthesis of firm-wide 2LOD challenge activity on data risk into Data Risk Appetite Assessment process.

Job Responsibility:

Support primary oversight of firm's Data Risk Appetite including assessment of factors of risk
Work collaboratively with 1LOD teams to support definition of clear path-to-green strategies
Contribute to identifying and executing independent second-line risk assessments
Participate in internal knowledge sharing initiatives related to Data Risk Appetite efforts
Help ensure multidisciplinary risk area is well understood
Assist in negotiation and remediation of identified risk and control concerns
Prepare materials for escalation of significant risk issues to governance forums

Requirements:

7-10 years of direct experience in non-financial risk (data, technology, or reporting risk) or relevant 1LOD function within financial services organization
Experience in assessing risk appetite for non-financial risks aligned with regulatory expectations
Demonstrable understanding of Data Management fundamentals including Data architecture and Data principles
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
Well-developed listening skills and strong ability to communicate effectively
Continuous improvement mind-set
Well-versed in executing risk management monitoring routines
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
Master's degree preferred

Experience applying operational risk management frameworks in global organization
