Job Description

The Manager of Panel Data Quality serves as the primary guardian and custodian of the product, ensuring the integrity of our household consumer panels across Africa and the Middle East. At Worldpanel by Numerator, our clients rely on our data to make critical marketing and business decisions; therefore, you are the final authority on market-readiness, ensuring every insight is accurate, consistent, and reflective of the market. In this capacity, you act as a strategic bridge between Client Service and Operations, driving the innovation and process efficiencies necessary to safeguard the value of the Worldpanel product and maintain the highest quality of panel data.

Job Responsibility

  • Custodian of Data Integrity & Stewardship: Maintain a profound understanding of the data value chain
  • Compliance Monitoring: Audit and monitor compliance across various operational areas
  • Expert Advisory: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Client Service teams
  • Stakeholder Management: Balance the high-pressure needs of Client Service with the practical constraints of Operations
  • Data Production & Monthly Sign-off: Review and sign off on monthly data production for the MENA region
  • Advanced Data Cleaning: Conduct complex edits regarding pricing, packaging, and volume
  • Outlier Management: Identify and investigate statistical outliers
  • Investigations & Troubleshooting: Lead deep-dive investigations into data discrepancies
  • Coverage Analysis: Independently perform coverage and representative analyses
  • Collaborative Resolution: Work closely with the Operations team to implement fixes
  • Innovation & Process Enhancement: Identify and track new technical solutions
  • Panel Modernization: Support new panel launches and enhancements
  • Efficiency Drivers: Constantly refine internal processes

Requirements

  • Fundamental Understanding of Market Research: A strong grasp of panel methodologies, sampling techniques, and the nuances of consumer behavior data
  • Data Extraction & Wrangling: Proven ability to pull data from various sources and transform it into clean, usable formats for analysis
  • Fundamentals of Data Science: Familiarity with data cleaning pipelines, anomaly detection
  • Statistical Knowledge: A fundamental understanding of statistical distributions, significance testing
  • Extensive Usage of Microsoft Office Suite: Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for stakeholder reporting
  • Programming (Bonus): Proficiency in Python for data wrangling, analysis or complex statistical investigations is highly desirable
