The Data Quality Group Manager is accountable for managing and executing continuous Data Quality controls, standards, and processes. The Data Quality Group manager ensures timely, accurate, and complete reporting of data in the required standards. The Group Manager oversees end-to-end process of working with various stakeholders to resolve data challenges by understanding root cause / thematic issues and executing data quality resolution. This job requires excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
Job Responsibility
Manage a team or a functional area, while maintaining appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control of Data Quality requirements, standards and processes
Liaise with other leaders to understand data challenges and solutions, and drive data quality resolution enterprise wide
Directly impacts the businesses / functions by influencing strategic decisions through advice or council
Address potential barriers to timely execution before they impact the delivery, communicate potential risks and plans to mitigate issues and concerns
Report Data Quality issues through Citi’s corresponding Data/Issue management process
Manages and executes strategic design and process improvement projects across the enterprise
Accountable for data consumption demand from strategic data repositories
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements
13+ years of experience, Banking or Finance industry preferred
Experience defining and implementing data quality programs
Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
Ability to gain confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity
