The Data Quality Intermediate Analyst (C11) is responsible for delivering subject matter and industry expertise across the enterprise in coordination with the Data Quality team. This role deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family.
Job Responsibility:
Partners with business teams to develop process improvements, solutions, and streamline operational workflows
Applies professional judgment and attention to detail when interpreting data and results based on the analysis of information
May occasionally provide informal guidance or on the job training to new or lower-level team members
Communicates with tact and diplomacy to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information with project stake holders or internal parties
Works and coordinates with a multidisciplinary group of business leads, operations managers, and technologists
Report Data Quality issues through the Data Concern Remediation Management process
Defines detailed business data requirements and documenting them
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements:
3-6 years' Experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs
Banking or Finance industry preferred
Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Working knowledge of Collibra and other Data Governance industry standard tools
Intermediate proficiency in System Query Language (SQL)
Working knowledge of Tableau (report consumer, developer, etc.)
Demonstrated understanding of Database structures
Flexible, team-oriented and have good interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
Preferably with Audit experience
Any experience in any data trace activities (verify the accuracy, quality, and reliability of data through an audit trail)
Experience in managing audit and / or coordination with internal or external auditors and other reviewers
Prior regulatory reporting experience preferred
Proven project management skills
and able to manage competing and urgent priorities
Part of Big four auditing firm with relevant years of experience (a plus but not required)
