Job Description:

The Data Protection & Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Design Expert is responsible for defining, designing, and implementing a robust data protection framework to safeguard the organization’s sensitive and regulated information. This role requires deep expertise in data security, hands‑on experience with leading DLP tools such as Symantec or Forcepoint, and the ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure compliance and prevent data loss across the enterprise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive, multi‑layered data protection strategy incorporating data classification, data discovery, encryption controls, and DLP technologies
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce DLP policies and rulesets to prevent unauthorized disclosure of confidential data across channels including email, web, cloud, and endpoints
  • Configure, tune, and manage Symantec DLP and/or Forcepoint DLP solutions to detect, monitor, and mitigate data leakage attempts
  • Conduct regular data security risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to improve security posture
  • Investigate and respond to potential data protection incidents, ensuring timely containment and remediation
  • Partner with business units to understand data usage requirements and implement appropriate controls aligned with regulatory standards
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions focused on data protection best practices and compliance obligations
  • Maintain documentation, reporting, and governance processes associated with data protection and DLP operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security with a strong specialization in data protection and DLP
  • Hands‑on experience implementing and managing Symantec DLP and/or Forcepoint DLP solutions (mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of data classification frameworks, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), and encryption technologies
  • Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CDPSE, or equivalent
  • Experience with cloud‑based data protection solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and incident response capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders
