As a Data Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of our data strategy, responsible for building and managing data products that harness the power of analytics, ML, and AI. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and business units, to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies. Your deep understanding of the payment industry (or strong desire to build one) will be crucial in delivering products that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with business teams to define product requirements and closely interact with engineering, data science and other technology teams to ensure successful delivery
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and internal process reviews to identify opportunities for new data products and enhancements to existing products
Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for data products (dashboards, APIs, Machine Learning engines, data pipelines) from ideation to launch and beyond
Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the company’s data strategy and business objectives
Utilise analytics, ML, and AI to create innovative data products that provide actionable insights and drive business value
Monitor the product performance, where success is defined as business impact (revenue growth, optimisation of existing business processes, cost savings)
Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including senior leadership
Ensure data products comply with industry regulations and best practices for data privacy and security, including GDPR, PSD2, PCI DSS and DORA
Drive data culture within the organisation by advocating for best practices, fostering data literacy, and enabling stakeholders to leverage data effectively
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Proven experience in product management, with a focus on data products, analytics, ML, and AI
Strong technical skills and understanding of data management & analytics, ML, and AI technologies
Experience working in the payment industry, tech startup, or financial services is highly desirable
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Proficient storyteller, with experience in presentation to various audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Experience in process mapping, design, and change management
Experience with data warehousing tools and platforms and query languages such as SQL (highly desirable) and Python (will be a plus)
Experience with data visualisation techniques is highly desirable, specific experience with PowerBI will be a plus
Power user of presentation tools such as Power Point (experience with Miro, Mural or other whiteboarding software will be considered a plus)
Knowledge of software development methodologies (SAFE, Agile, Scrum) and tools such as Azure DevOps and JIRA
Knowledge of different ML approaches (predictive, prescriptive, generative) and ability to tailor the approach to the business problem at hand
Understanding of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and their data services

BigQuery is a nice to have
Python (will be a plus)
specific experience with PowerBI will be a plus
experience with Miro, Mural or other whiteboarding software will be considered a plus
