Job Description:

The Data Processing Representative is responsible for the integrity, cleansing, and preparation of client data for large-scale mail and print production. While we use industry-specific postal software, expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is the most critical requirement for this role. We are looking for a detail-oriented “data sleuth” who can transform messy client files into organized, production-ready databases.

Job Responsibility:

  • Data Cleansing & Normalization: import, scrub, and format various client data types using Excel
  • Complex Data Manipulation: perform Merge/Purges, identify and remove duplicates, isolate sensitive information
  • Logic-Driven Formatting: create labeling lists and variable data sequences for complex merges
  • Data Troubleshooting: analyze client files for inconsistencies
  • Postal Software Operations: learn to utilize BCC Mail Manager and Windowbook
  • Compliance & Liaison: coordinate with USPS Postal Liaison
  • Variable Data Design: use Adobe InDesign and plugins to merge cleansed data into visual layouts
  • Documentation: maintain detailed logs of client-specific processing templates and software update procedures

Requirements:

  • Advanced MS Excel Skills: comfortable with advanced functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, If/Then statements, and Text-to-Columns)
  • Strong Attention to Detail: a “near-perfect” accuracy rate is required
  • Analytical Mindset: ability to look at raw data and determine the most efficient way to clean it for production
  • Highly Organized: ability to manage multiple data streams and deadlines simultaneously
  • A Sense of Humor: positive, adaptable team culture
  • MUST be local to Portland, OR area
  • MUST be able to work onsite 5x week in Portland, OR
