Job Description

A leading organisation dedicated to creating experiences for customers across the globe is seeking a skilled Data Privacy Manager to lead data protection and compliance initiatives across the business. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong track record in safeguarding personal and sensitive information and a passion for promoting the ethical and responsible use of data. You will work closely with business, legal and technical teams to ensure data privacy is at the heart of the company’s global digital transformation strategy.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, implement and sustain a comprehensive data privacy framework that defines and enforces policies, standards and procedures across the organisation
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PECR, and other regional regulations)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default into new products, services, and technologies
  • Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and advise on privacy risks and mitigation strategies
  • Manage and respond to data subject requests, privacy incidents and potential data breaches in accordance with regulatory timelines
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to promote a culture of privacy across the organisation
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, Legal and Compliance teams to align privacy practices with overall data governance and cybersecurity objectives
  • Stay up to date with evolving privacy legislation and industry best practices to ensure continued compliance and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data privacy, data protection, or compliance roles, ideally within a large or complex organisation
  • Strong understanding of global privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and related frameworks
  • Experience managing data protection risks, privacy impact assessments, and policy implementation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent) are highly desirable
