Job Description:

We're hiring a Snowflake Data Platform Engineer for a 6-month contract with a top-tier global financial services firm. You'll join a forward-thinking data engineering team focused on building scalable, high-performance data platforms that power analytics and automation. This is a hands-on role with a focus on Snowflake development, cloud infrastructure, and orchestration.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake
Design and automate ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow or Dagster
Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
Drive performance tuning, cost optimisation, and platform scalability
Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (development + admin)
Proficiency in Terraform, AWS (S3, IAM), and OAuth integrations
Programming skills in Python or Java
Solid understanding of modern data architecture and orchestration tools

Nice to have:

Experience with Denodo or Kafka
