We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Operations Specialist to support master data accuracy and business partner record management for a manufacturing organization in Plymouth, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining high-quality customer and supplier information, helping teams work from reliable data across enterprise platforms. The role partners closely with Finance, Procurement, Sales, and IT to keep records complete, compliant, and aligned with internal standards.
Job Responsibility:
Enter, update, and maintain business partner records for customers, suppliers, and related entities across enterprise data platforms
Review incoming requests for new records or updates, confirm required approvals and supporting documents, and complete changes with accuracy and timeliness
Verify critical information such as banking details, tax data, payment terms, and classification attributes using internal controls and external validation sources
Track data quality trends by identifying duplicates, incomplete fields, and inconsistent entries, then take corrective action to improve record reliability
Carry out data cleansing activities that strengthen reporting accuracy and reduce operational and compliance risk
Apply established governance standards to daily data management tasks and escalate exceptions or unresolved issues to appropriate stakeholders
Support audit and compliance efforts by organizing documentation and confirming that required records meet policy and regulatory expectations
Maintain secure digital files and handle sensitive information in accordance with privacy, confidentiality, and record-retention requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve data issues, answer record-related questions, and support ongoing operational needs
Requirements:
Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail in high-volume data entry or master data support work
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reviewing, validating, and organizing data
Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and follow up effectively on data issues or missing information
Experience working within structured procedures, approval workflows, and data governance guidelines
Foundational knowledge of supplier onboarding, tax documentation, banking verification, or related compliance checks
Understanding of master data principles involving customer, supplier, or business partner records
Nice to have:
Background in data analysis, fraud analytics, anti-fraud review, suspected fraud handling, or fraud investigation is a plus
