Job Description

Sitting at the heart of the Motor Claims Insight & Analysis team and working in close partnership with the Claims Leadership Team, this senior leadership role is pivotal in ensuring that data is used to drive strategic advantage and operational excellence. You will shape how data and insight support our Claims strategy, influence key decisions, and ultimately contribute to the success of the wider Claims department.

Job Responsibility

  • Translate the Motor Claims strategy and business plan into clear analytical priorities
  • Represent Insight & Analysis in relevant steering groups and working forums
  • Partner closely with Motor Claims teams to deliver accurate, timely, and impactful reporting
  • Deliver proactive, insightful analysis and communicate key findings to Motor leadership and stakeholders across the business
  • Identify and communicate emerging trends to the Claims HOD group
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of Motor Claims operations
  • Ensure high‑level departmental reporting is accurate, relevant, and aligned with business priorities
  • Maintain strong data governance
  • Stay informed of test-and-learn opportunities and support prioritisation using clear metrics
  • Work with HODs and the Change Manager to ensure the integrity of tests and ROI assessments
  • Provide senior-level data commentary and oversee thorough investigation of data patterns by the MI team
  • Lead the annual review of standard peril reserves
  • Support surge events by providing real‑time data and analytical insight
  • Oversee or produce business cases for key initiatives and projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Claims data, using analysis proactively to solve business problems
  • Identify opportunities for improvement across processes, performance, and insight capability

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Motor Claims
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to use data to support effective decision‑making
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic thinking and direction
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leadership
