Job Description

The Data Migration & Readiness Lead (In-Market) is responsible for driving end-to-end data readiness for ERP deployment within the local market, acting as the single point of contact or all data-related activities. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and alignment of master data and EDI setups by leading data cleansing, coordinating cross-functional inputs, supporting migration cycles (mock loads, testing, and cutover), and resolving data issues in collaboration with global teams. The role plays a critical part in enabling a smooth transition and stable operations during go-live and hypercare through proactive issue management, governance adherence, and stakeholder alignment.

Job Responsibility

  • Acts as the single in-market point of contact for all data-related deployment activities, covering master data objects (customers, products, etc.) and EDI requirements
  • Leads the local data cleansing and enrichment effort — coordinating with relevant local functional SMEs to review and correct records for migration specifications
  • Identifies and resolves data quality issues, such as duplicates, incomplete records, or incorrect mappings, escalating issues to global/wave data teams
  • Supports the mapping of local master data to the global data model, ensuring alignment with process design decisions
  • Participates in mock loads, migration testing, and cutover rehearsals, validating migrated data and reporting defects/issues
  • Provides on-site hypercare support for data-related incidents
  • Reports progress, issues, and risks to the Local Deployment Lead

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting ERP implementations or system transformation projects (e.g., SAP, S/4HANA, Oracle, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in data migration lifecycle activities, including data cleansing, mapping, validation, testing, and cutover.
  • Experience working as a local or regional data lead / SME, coordinating across multiple functions (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, IT).
  • Familiarity with EDI processes and customer/vendor integration setups is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of master data domains (e.g., Customer, Product, Pricing, Vendor) and their usage across business processes.
  • Experience with data quality management, including identifying and resolving duplicates, inconsistencies, and incomplete records.
  • Understanding of data governance principles, including data ownership, standards, and approval workflows.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data structures, particularly in Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Supply Chain processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience with data migration tools, templates, or ETL processes is an advantage.
