The Data Migration & Readiness Lead (In-Market) is responsible for driving end-to-end data readiness for ERP deployment within the local market, acting as the single point of contact or all data-related activities. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and alignment of master data and EDI setups by leading data cleansing, coordinating cross-functional inputs, supporting migration cycles (mock loads, testing, and cutover), and resolving data issues in collaboration with global teams. The role plays a critical part in enabling a smooth transition and stable operations during go-live and hypercare through proactive issue management, governance adherence, and stakeholder alignment.
Job Responsibility
Acts as the single in-market point of contact for all data-related deployment activities, covering master data objects (customers, products, etc.) and EDI requirements
Leads the local data cleansing and enrichment effort — coordinating with relevant local functional SMEs to review and correct records for migration specifications
Identifies and resolves data quality issues, such as duplicates, incomplete records, or incorrect mappings, escalating issues to global/wave data teams
Supports the mapping of local master data to the global data model, ensuring alignment with process design decisions
Participates in mock loads, migration testing, and cutover rehearsals, validating migrated data and reporting defects/issues
Provides on-site hypercare support for data-related incidents
Reports progress, issues, and risks to the Local Deployment Lead
Requirements
Proven experience supporting ERP implementations or system transformation projects (e.g., SAP, S/4HANA, Oracle, or similar).
Hands-on experience in data migration lifecycle activities, including data cleansing, mapping, validation, testing, and cutover.
Experience working as a local or regional data lead / SME, coordinating across multiple functions (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, IT).
Familiarity with EDI processes and customer/vendor integration setups is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of master data domains (e.g., Customer, Product, Pricing, Vendor) and their usage across business processes.
Experience with data quality management, including identifying and resolving duplicates, inconsistencies, and incomplete records.
Understanding of data governance principles, including data ownership, standards, and approval workflows.
Familiarity with ERP systems and data structures, particularly in Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Supply Chain processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
Experience with data migration tools, templates, or ETL processes is an advantage.
