Data Manager

• Lead the development and maintenance of the organisation’s data warehouse, managing the full data lifecycle using SQL, tabular modelling and Power BI
• Develop accurate and scalable reporting services to support Executive, operational and back-office teams
• Act as the organisation’s expert on NHS Digital Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS) reporting
• Work collaboratively with partners and commissioners on data reporting requirements
• Produce a comprehensive suite of internal management reports for use across the organisation
• Maintain strong working knowledge of key systems, including the client management system (IAPTUS), to promote high standards of data quality and governance
• Conduct data analysis to support service management—for example, analysing waiting list trends
• Provide technical support and training to help teams make the most of business intelligence tools and visualisations
• Ensure all data processes meet GDPR and wider data protection requirements
• Produce and maintain Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and support the organisation’s DSP Toolkit submission
• Assist the DPO with data required for Subject Access Requests
• Carry out regular data audits to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support the Information Governance Working Group and contribute to the organisation’s cyber security compliance agenda, including Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus

• Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Full driving licence and use of own transport
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with SQL databases (DML, DDL, DQL)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in data modelling within SQL environments
• Demonstrable experience in Power BI dashboard development
• Experience working with and improving IT systems (e.g., EPR/CRM systems)
• Experience managing projects, auditing systems, and presenting complex data
• Strong IT proficiency, including Office365 tools
