Job Description:

We’re looking for a Data Management Specialist who wants to solve complex, real-world problems to make life at home simpler and assist in adopting harmonized Data Management practices. Your primary focus will be on Data Governance, Data Literacy, and Master Data Management. Key responsibilities include promoting data-driven decision-making, sharing best practices across the company, and enabling the organization to realize the full value of all Data Management capabilities in a collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Data Management capabilities across a dynamic, global organization.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to help them work more efficiently by applying smart Data management processes, solutions and insights.
  • Strengthen and sustain a connected Data management network across IKEA, fostering alignment and shared purpose.
  • Champion continuous improvement by sharing tools, methods, and knowledge across the Data management community.
  • Promote consistency by guiding the use of proven development techniques, digital frameworks, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Have a great understanding and experience of data management capabilities. Preferably from large and complex organizations.
  • Good analytical skills combined with being structured and organized.
  • Share our values by promoting simplicity and fostering a spirit of togetherness.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and build strong relationships across a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • Clearly articulate the value of effective data management to both technical and non-technical colleagues, helping them understand and adopt best practices.
  • Confidently navigate multiple stakeholders and priorities, balancing diverse perspectives with ease.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree—or equivalent qualifications—in fields such as statistics, physics, mathematics, econometrics, computer science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an equal or comparable position.

Nice to have:

  • Expertise in Master Data Management — especially in driving forward modern methodologies, strategic approaches, and cutting-edge technical tools.
  • Visionary mindset — able to see the transformative potential of digital and information technologies and draw inspiration to fuel innovation.
  • Change-positive attitude — curious by nature, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and committed to making a meaningful impact.
What we offer:
  • Your health, wellbeing, and development matter most to us.
  • Endless opportunities to grow.
  • Down to earth, playful, and inclusive culture.
  • Collaborating with others across roles, departments, and even across the globe.
