Job Description:

The Data Science Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. The role involves handling data analysis, managing data-related systems, and providing guidance to ensure business goals are met. The candidate must have a strong background in data management life cycle, tools like Collibra, and experience with Oracle/SQL-Server queries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead meetings with Operations stakeholders and subject matter experts to define and gather requirements and overall objectives
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress and risks & issues
  • Understand and identify appropriate systems and processes working with Operations and Technology to ensure development and onboarding of data feeds are in line with business requirements
  • Define business rules to enrich, transform, and normalize data across multiple systems and assign data ownership
  • Create, review, and enhance Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Feed specifications and Dashboarding requirements to meet the needs of stakeholders
  • Communicate rollout plans and provide tool demos to stakeholders global
  • Utilize standard processes, design tools throughout project development life cycle
  • Ensure deliverables are being met on a timely basis
  • Perform data analysis using standard technology tools and communicate requirements to Technology teams.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of overall experience in Data Management life cycle with a background in development and/or project management
  • Last 3 years minimum need to be working as a Data Lead for a mid-size to large project, with direct management/hands-on activities like Data Modeling, Data Dictionary, Data Lineage, Data Catalogue management, managing Critical Data Elements
  • Familiarity with a range of risk information and risk management in an investment bank and corresponding controls/risk measures
  • Good Experience in basic technology development to write database (Oracle) SQL queries for data analysis
  • Hands on experience of evaluating data with Oracle/SQL-Server PL-SQL queries
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Expertise in data analysis and analytics/reporting development
  • Knowledge of agile software development lifecycle
  • Hands on experience working on, and managing medium to large cross functional programs (must have in last 3 years)
  • Track record of driving change and innovating in the risk and control space in a collaborative way
  • Ability to see the whole picture without losing attention to detail
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to effectively handle conflicts and influence negotiations without direct authority
  • Ability to clearly communicate business requirements to Technology teams
  • Ability to produce accurate, clear, and concise documents
  • Ability to resolve user queries related to the platform and analyses/provide quick solutions to remediate issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Capability of multi-tasking and working under pressure
  • Ability to target delivery dates and work with minimum supervision
  • Self-driven person with a problem-solving attitude
  • This is an extremely hands-on position and field/live project experience is a must in last 3 years as given: Tools like Collibra, at least 1 industry tool in the field of Data Catalogue Management, Data Dictionary Management, Data Lineage Management, Data Modelling, Managing and defining Critical Data Elements (CDE)
  • Ability to understand complex data-scapes, analyze and model data effectively is a must.
