Job Description

At Data Idols, we are working with a data-led technology business building LLM-powered products used in complex, information-rich environments. They are looking for a Data Journalist to analyse complex datasets and translate them into clear, structured, and visually compelling outputs that improve how users understand and interact with information. The Opportunity This is a specialist role focused on one core thing, making data easy to understand and visually compelling. You will work across a variety of datasets, assessing how information is currently presented and redesigning it into visuals that are intuitive, insightful, and polished. This could mean using charts, graphs, or entirely bespoke visual approaches depending on the problem. The focus is not on tools, but on choosing the right way to present data and executing it to a high standard. Working closely with product, UX, and engineering teams, you will help shape how data is experienced across the platform. This role suits someone who is passionate about data visualisation as a craft and takes pride in producing work that is both analytically sound and visually strong.

  • Strong experience creating data visualisations across different tools or technologies
  • Ability to take complex data and turn it into clear, user-friendly outputs
  • Strong judgement on the best visual format for different types of data
  • Experience with visualisation tools
  • Experience working alongside product, UX, or engineering teams
