Job Description:

With Citi’s Analytics & Information Management (AIM) group, you will do meaningful work from Day 1. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders, product owners and development teams to ensure platform development meets business objectives. This role offers technical expertise in data engineering and provides the opportunity to work on platform development, performance improvements, and collaborative initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

Requirement Gathering
Engage with stakeholders to identify, gather and document requirements for framework, pipelining solutions and translate business requirements to detailed technical specifications that can be understood and acted upon by development teams
Collaborate with tech team to map business processes that will be supported by framework and pipelines
Work with cross-functional teams to design end to end technical solutions that optimize business workflows and ensure seamless integration
Work closely with technology teams to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system optimization
Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and the tech teams
Develop strong processes, and indestructible controls to address risk and seek to propagate that culture to become the core value of the team
Work with product owners to prioritize features and improvements based on business impact and technical feasibility
Use Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to facilitate the development process
Support the creation and execution of test cases, focusing on validating technical solutions against business requirements
Create detailed documentation of requirements, processes, and system interactions for technical solutions and frameworks
Prepare reports and presentations that provide insights and recommendations for stakeholders regarding system performance, business continuity, and pipeline optimization
Continuously assess existing tools, frameworks to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
Provide recommendations to enhance the scalability, resilience, and efficiency of the solutions being developed
Provide technical mentorship to junior team members, sharing your expertise in data engineering and business technology collaboration

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a tech-focused role with exposure to frameworks, SRE, and data pipelining
Proficient in PySpark and Python and ability to understand and leverage data engineering principles
Familiarity with cloud platforms with expertise in Snowflake for data storage, retrieval and querying and business intelligence initiatives
Proficiency in visualizing data using tools like Tableau, Dataiku or similar with strong understanding of ETL processes from Snowflake or other data bases
Ability to translate complex technical information into business-friendly language
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with automation tools and cloud-native technologies is a plus
Proven ability to mentor and develop team members while successfully managing and delivering complex projects with measurable impact
Prior experience in the banking or financial sector is a plus, or a keen interest in exploring this domain
