Randstad Digital is hiring a Data Governance Specialist - Data Security for direct integration, in a company located in Porto. Hybrid work model (3 days on-site; 2 days remote / week).
Job Responsibility:
Manage data governance tools and platforms to support data governance activities
Identify opportunities for improving data management processes and recommend solutions
Facilitate data governance training and awareness programs for employees
Report on data governance metrics and performance to senior management
Lead data governance working groups and committees to drive data governance initiatives
Foster a culture of data governance and stewardship within the organization
Design, implement, and maintain data security policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with best practice, business and regulatory requirements
Conduct continuous data security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats to the organization
Implement processes to scale data security initiatives and integrate data protection practices in daily business operation (DLP, IRM, DSPM, AISPM, etc.)
Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team and business units to ensure secure data handling, storage, and transmission across all platforms
Lead incident response efforts related to data breaches in collaboration with Legal and Compliance teams, including investigation, reporting, and remediation
Develop and enforce robust access management processes to enhance data security and safeguard sensitive information across the organization
Provide subject matter expertise on data protection legislation (e.g., GDPR) and advise on compliance strategies
Stay up to date on new data security technologies, trends, and rules to proactively enhance our Data Security posture
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies and frameworks
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex data infrastructures, including cloud environments and data integration
Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce data governance standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Experience with data governance tools and frameworks such as Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and their application in data governance
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for developing and mentoring talent
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory
