Job Responsibility:
Support the implementation and administration of the data governance and information management framework to reduce data risk
Assist in the development and documentation of new policies, standards, and guides for data governance
Proactively engage with business stakeholders to promote data management initiatives, including data cataloguing and profiling
Support data owners and custodians in the creation and curation of business glossaries and data catalogues
Monitor and update data dictionaries and metadata to ensure consistency while collaborating on metrics and dashboards
Requirements:
A high-level understanding of data governance and information management concepts, such as the DAMA DMBOK framework
Practical experience using Data Management and Governance tools (e.g., Alex, Alation, Collibra, or Informatica)
Proficiency in interrogating databases using SQL or similar tools to understand data quality and meaning
An understanding of (or eagerness to learn) regulatory requirements related to data privacy and risks, such as CPG235
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work across teams to achieve organisational goals and promote a sound risk culture
Bachelor degree or equivalent
