We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead who will be responsible for developing and managing the global data governance framework across the organization. This role will work closely with business teams, IT, and the Data Office to ensure high data quality, regulatory compliance, and effective use of data across the enterprise.
Job Responsibility:
Establish and maintain the global Data Governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, standards, and data quality controls
Define and manage the governance operating model, ensuring collaboration between data owners, data stewards, business units, IT, and the Data Office
Lead the Data Governance maturity roadmap to continuously improve governance processes, controls, and adoption
Ensure alignment with global regulatory frameworks, including GDPR and relevant industry regulations
Coordinate governance policy communication, training, and adoption across the organization
Supervise the definition and monitoring of data quality KPIs, SLAs, and data quality rules across business domains
Oversee the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Catalog, business glossary, metadata standards
Drive the organization’s Data Literacy program to improve awareness of data roles, responsibilities, and best practices
Ensure Data Governance requirements are embedded in business transformation initiatives, analytics programs, and system changes
Ensure master data governance aligns with domain processes such as Finance, Sales, Production, HR, and Logistics
Support Global Process Owners in harmonizing data definitions, ownership boundaries, and standards across domains
Develop the global Data Governance team and promote a culture of data responsibility, transparency, and accountability
Requirements:
5+ years in Data Governance, Master Data, or Data Management roles
Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality, and metadata
Experience working with global, cross-functional teams
ERP and master data experience (e.g., Infor M3) is a plus
Strong communication and stakeholder management
Knowledge of data catalog, lineage, metadata, and data quality tools
Ability to drive change in complex organizations
Detail-oriented with strong process thinking
