The Data Governance Lead Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Data Strategy, Data Risk and Control Framework, and Data Risk Taxonomy for the LATAM and NAM regions of the Issuer Services business. The focus of this role may be on one or more of the following areas: identification and delivery of data requirements, implementation of data governance, data policy adoption and compliance, project management and reporting, data quality issue management, and data standardization. This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with multiple teams to implement Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Risk & Control frameworks
Work with Product, Operations, and Technology partners to understand the LATAM/NAM data estate and define, prioritize and deliver objectives in line with the Issuer Services Data Strategy
Management and analysis of data-related issues, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics and reporting
Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on the enterprise Data Governance strategy rollout, including data use case execution, data domain operationalization, and Data Risk Taxonomy assessment
Maintain transparency in program/project risks
escalate and manage risk to ensure the quality and timely completion of data initiatives
Provide expertise on the Data Governance and/or Data Risk & Controls framework, including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring, and self-assessment processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's/University degree required
Master's degree a plus
6-10 years relevant experience in a Data Governance, Data Management, Data Strategy or related area within the financial services industry
Working knowledge of data architecture, standards and modelling principles and tooling
Ability to navigate tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
Ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications and influence change/transformation across Product, Operations and Technology stakeholders
Corporate Trust experience a plus
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred
