We’re hiring a Data Entry Specialist for a leading document storage company in Burnaby. Most work is seated but involves intensive and constant keying of information into data system. Employee carries one carton of documents to/from pallet to computer workstation on average every 5-7 minutes. Carton weight ranges from 30-50#. Carry distance may be up to 15-20 feet. Hand height for pulling or returning carton to pallet ranges from 13” to 45”. Location: Burnaby, BC Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00:AM - 03:30:PM Pay Rate: $18-20/hour Job Type: Full-Time
Job Responsibility:
Lift and move boxes (up to 50 lbs) of confidential documents
Read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders
Must maintain consistent high frequency of keystrokes (10,000 kph), with 100% accuracy confirmed by 'double key' verification
Carry cartons ranging in weight from 30-50# for distances up to 20 feet on a frequency of one box every 5-7 minutes
Lift and lower cartons from/to pallet and from/to workstation
Use a proprietary computer system to track and locate orders
Operate a handheld scanner for order processing
Load/unload boxes and shrink wrap pallets
Use ladders and material handling equipment safely
Follow safety protocols and work both independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job (lifting heavy boxes, walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop and bend for extended periods of time)
Dependable and ability to work independently or as part of a team
