We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support data analysis and auditing processes within our organization. This long-term contract position is based in Stamford, Connecticut, and offers the opportunity to work with large-scale datasets while ensuring compliance with company policies. The role requires a strong focus on accuracy and analytical skills to validate employee data efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct audits of employee time-off data to ensure alignment with internal policies and regulations
Analyze and reconcile records across various states, departments, and employee categories to identify discrepancies
Extract, manipulate, and validate large datasets to confirm data accuracy
Perform detailed calculations and data analysis using Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
Collaborate with payroll systems to ensure data integrity during audits and updates
Identify inconsistencies in records and propose corrective actions for resolution
Maintain organized documentation of audit findings and data validation processes
Support system transitions by ensuring payroll and time-off data are ready for migration
Communicate effectively with team members to clarify data issues and ensure audit goals are met
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and managing large datasets
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience with auditing data and reconciling records
Familiarity with payroll systems and time-off policies is preferred
Ability to handle complex datasets and perform thorough validations
Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and ensure compliance
Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and address data discrepancies
