We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support manufacturing operations in Oakland, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining accurate engineering and product data, coordinating requests, and keeping critical records current across business systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large volumes of information, managing competing priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a deadline-driven environment.
Job Responsibility
Enter, update, and maintain product records, part numbers, and bill of materials information within company databases and tracking tools.
Review incoming data requests, route them to the appropriate stakeholders, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
Generate recurring system reports, evaluate the information for accuracy, and flag discrepancies for follow-up.
Support the administration of pricing and configuration data to help preserve consistency across internal platforms.
Partner with engineering staff to prepare and process change documentation, then communicate approved updates to relevant teams.
Assist in developing product models and configuration resources that can be used by customer-facing departments.
Keep status logs and spreadsheet trackers current so project and material information remains visible and organized.
Handle finished goods and related data requests from departments such as forecasting, marketing, customer support, and warranty.
Contribute to additional administrative and data management tasks as needed to support departmental objectives.
Requirements
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
Prior experience performing high-volume data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with engineering, quotations, customer support, and other internal teams.
Comfortable managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound independent judgment.
Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems such as Oracle or similar platforms.
Willingness to learn technical product information within a manufacturing setting.
