We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Herndon, Virginia, and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong data entry skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with data processing and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately input and update data into the system, ensuring all information is correct and complete
Print and organize necessary documents while maintaining updated files within the software
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite tools to efficiently handle tasks and reports
Process travel expense data with precision and attention to detail
Perform routine data entry tasks including numerical inputs and typing with speed and accuracy
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of assignments
Adapt quickly to new software and tools as required
Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
Troubleshoot minor data entry issues to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in data entry or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies
Excellent typing skills with accuracy and speed
Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems quickly
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Costpoint software
Previous experience processing travel expenses
