We are looking for a dependable Data Entry Clerk to support a construction and contractor business in East Syracuse, New York. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building administrative experience in a hands-on office setting. The person in this role will help bring order to a high-volume paper filing environment while accurately entering information into company systems and assisting with day-to-day office tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Enter information from paper documents into internal systems with a high level of accuracy and consistency
Sort, organize, label, and box physical records to improve file storage and document access
Make copies, scan materials, and prepare paperwork for filing and recordkeeping purposes
Support general administrative activities to help keep daily office operations running smoothly
Review documents for completeness and flag missing or unclear information when needed
Maintain orderly file cabinets and storage areas by restructuring overcrowded paper records
Learn and use company software effectively through provided training
Assist with other clerical tasks as priorities shift across the office
Requirements:
Previous experience with data entry, clerical support, or administrative work is helpful but not required
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle repetitive tasks accurately
Comfortable working with both paper files and computer-based record systems
Basic typing and general computer skills
Ability to stay organized while managing large volumes of documents
Willingness to learn new software and office procedures through training
Dependable work habits and the ability to work independently in a flexible part-time schedule
