We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support the accounting team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Contract position focuses on accurate invoice processing, efficient data entry, and maintaining organized financial records in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large volumes of numeric information and using Excel to keep information current and reliable.
Job Responsibility:
Enter accounts payable invoice details into Excel with a high degree of speed and accuracy
Review incoming invoices for completeness, consistency, and proper documentation before entry
Support the accounting department by organizing financial data and keeping records up to date
Verify numeric information and correct discrepancies to help maintain accurate payable records
Manage a steady flow of data entry tasks while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
Use typing and 10-key skills to process invoice information efficiently
Communicate identified issues or missing details to the appropriate team members for resolution
Requirements:
Prior experience in data entry, preferably in an accounting or retail setting
Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and invoice handling
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to enter and organize data accurately
Fast and accurate typing skills with proficiency in numeric data entry
Solid 10-key ability and attention to detail when processing financial information
Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency and accuracy
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
