Job Description:

The Data Engineering Scrum Master role involves leading data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation
  • Manage client and team expectations throughout the project
  • Drive projects to completion on time, on budget, within scope, and of the highest overall quality
  • Provide and maintain project plans (Jira roadmaps, MS Project plans, sprint release plans)
  • Work collaboratively with project team members to translate work into Jira issues, then maintain accurate sprint release plans
  • Actively plan, manage, and balance resources in collaboration with your Vectorform peers
  • Establish and facilitate Agile ceremonies
  • Remove blockers to allow the team to work efficiently on their tasks
  • Identify and forecast company and project risks to prevent issues from occurring
  • Report project information to executive team members to help ensure company goals, resources, and efforts are correctly aligned
  • Manage project budget and work closely with the Controller for expenses, invoices, and project profitability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Create various documents such as resource plans, project schedules, release/iteration plans, communication plans, and RAIDD logs
  • Ensure project documentation is completed, current, shared, and stored appropriately
  • Manage the processes and tools used by the teams to complete their tasks
  • Improve the profitability of projects through process improvement and process management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred (CIS, Engineering, or related) or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • 1+ years of working as a Scrum Master
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills
  • Detailed understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and practices
  • Experience in working with business partners, technology teams and customers in defining requirements and managing deliveries
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle

Nice to have:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience as a developer, tester, business analyst, or UX designer
