Job Responsibility

Modernize existing Python scripts currently running on a virtual machine task scheduler by refactoring them into well-structured, maintainable, and production-ready codebases
Rebuild legacy automation using modern Python best practices, including dependency management and packaging with Poetry
Improve reliability, readability, and long-term sustainability of analytics and operational workflows
Partner with analytics and operations stakeholders to understand existing workflows, business intent, and system constraints
Implement consistent project structures, documentation, logging, and error handling
Validate refactored solutions through testing and controlled execution
Manage multiple refactoring efforts in parallel while clearly communicating progress, risks, and tradeoffs

Data catalogue development — document data assets in a structured, accessible catalogue: field definitions, data types, quality observations, and coverage gaps
Exploratory data analysis — query and profile the data to surface patterns, anomalies, and signals relevant to project delivery performance
AI use case identification — drawing on your understanding of the CMT data and the broader E&C workflow, you will identify and document potential AI/ML applications across the business: predictive analytics, anomaly detection, scheduling optimisation, procurement insights, process automation, and beyond.
