Job Description:

Data Engineer position at CVS Health's Aetna Medicare Product Tools & Technology team, responsible for designing, developing, testing and managing large-scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient ETL workflows to support Aetna's Medicare business. The role involves building app analytics, creating KPIs and metrics, monitoring cloud-based technologies, and leveraging AI tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Designing, developing, testing and managing large-scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows
  • Build and maintain app analytics across the organization, creating KPIs and metrics for multiple applications
  • Build and monitor instances while managing multiple cloud-based technologies
  • Leverage AI tools
  • Develop large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs
  • Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing
  • Collaborate with development team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes
  • Test and maintain systems and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Build data marts and data models to support developers and other internal customers
  • Integrate data from a variety of sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards
  • Convert SSRS Reports to Power Bi, creating new reports
  • Promote knowledge sharing and provide input on the technology stack

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of data analysis for health care industry, products, or systems
  • 3+ years of Zero copy, Advance Power BI, Databricks, Python, SSRS & SSIS, Hadoop and Hive, MicroStrategy or Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of experience with traditional relational data warehouse technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, or DB2
  • 3+ years of GPU or CPI Infrastructure component experience
  • 3+ years of designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases
  • 2+ years of knowledge of cloud based and on-prem data warehousing services
  • 2+ years of providing domain support for healthcare organizations
  • 2+ years working in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or relevant professional experience

Nice to have:

  • Firsthand experience in building models to generate predictive and prescriptive insights
  • Familiarity with the common Python libraries used in machine learning projects
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Snowflake) including querying/mining large datasets and deploying projects on cloud systems
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile framework
  • Experience with Medicare or other highly regulated businesses
