Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 2 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team at TechM in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess strong Data Engineering knowledge and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that support our data driven decision making processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data from various sources
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high quality datasets
  • Implement data models and structures that optimize data storage and retrieval
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency
  • Document data engineering processes, architectures, and workflows for future reference
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Data Engineering principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Apache Airflow)
  • Solid understanding of SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage and processing
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2 5 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
