Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / BI Developer with 4–7 years of experience in building dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, good understanding of data modeling concepts, and the ability to translate business requirements into impactful BI solutions. This role will support reporting modernization, drive data-driven insights, and work closely with business and technology teams to enhance decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, insights, anomalies, and business improvement opportunities
  • Define and support KPIs, metrics, and reporting governance across business functions
  • Work with structured datasets and multiple data sources to produce accurate analytical outputs
  • Contribute to data modeling by understanding relationships, hierarchies, and business rules
  • Create documentation including report specs, data mappings, and user guides
  • Participate in testing activities such as unit testing, data validation, UAT, and post-deployment checks
  • Troubleshoot BI issues, resolve data discrepancies, and enhance existing dashboards
  • Support reporting modernization, automation, and process improvement initiatives
  • Communicate insights effectively using visualizations and storytelling techniques

Requirements:

  • 4–7 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or data engineering
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI and Tableau
  • Strong SQL skills including complex joins, aggregations, and performance-optimized queries
  • Solid understanding of data modeling fundamentals: relationships, facts, dimensions, hierarchies
  • Experience handling structured datasets from multiple sources
  • Strong analytical thinking with high attention to data quality and accuracy
  • Experience in report validation, reconciliation, and documentation
  • Ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with business and technology teams

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to Power Apps for workflow automation or data-entry use cases
  • Familiarity with DAX, Power Query, Tableau calculated fields
  • Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipeline dependencies
  • Basic knowledge of Python for data automation or analysis
  • Awareness of UX/UI best practices for dashboard design and storytelling
  • Experience working in Agile / Sprint-based environments
  • Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and reporting governance
  • Basic understanding of statistical techniques useful for trend analysis
