Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Toronto, ON for an onsite full-time role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Develop and manage data integration workflows from multiple sources
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to support data needs
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data systems
  • Optimize databases and data pipelines for efficiency and scalability
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and infrastructure
  • Maintain documentation for data architecture and processes

Requirements

  • Strong experience in data engineering and ETL development
  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Scala
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Informatica, or Talend
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
