Data Engineer

• Develop and implement data quality frameworks using custom or SaaS tools
• operate with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure PaaS components like Azure Data Factories, Data Bricks, and Azure Data Lake Analytics
• set up business glossary within the overall data governance program
• create data lineage in Purview or similar tools
• manage Azure Purview, registering resources, setting up scans, adding glossary teams, lineages, and more
• maintain a strong knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Managed Identities, Purview, and Data Sensitivity Classification to ensure data security and compliance
• coordinate data pipelines utilizing tools like Airflow to ensure smooth data flow and effective processing from multiple sources to specific destinations

• At least 10 years of experience in Data Engineering
• proficiency in SQL and SQL Server
• practical experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
• strong understanding and experience with SaaS (Software as a Service)
• familiarity with SaaS PaaS (Software as a Service Platform as a Service)
• experience with Purview
• background in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry is preferred
• excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
• strong communication skills, both written and verbal
