Job Description

Orbis are partnering with a global Investment Management firm building out their Data and AI capabilities. As part of this exciting new development, they're looking for a Senior Data Engineer with Strong Snowflake and Data Warehousing experience. This is an incredible opportunity to work a technically progressive Investment Management firm as they continue a journey to fully optimise their technology and data estate to leverage the value of AI.

Job Responsibility

  • Designing and developing the Snowflake-based data warehouse, leveraging Cortex to enable advanced AI/ML use cases
  • Integrating platforms and third-party data sources into the firm's architecture, ensuring clean, reliable and well-governed data flows
  • Building and optimising data pipelines, designing robust data frameworks, improving data quality, and enabling downstream analytics and reporting

Requirements

  • 5+ years' commercial experience in Data Engineering, ideally with a background in Financial Services
  • Strong hands-on commercial experience with Snowflake (ideally experience with Snowpark and SnowSQL)
  • Strong Data Warehouse development experience (ideally Star Schema)
  • Excellent ETL experience managing the full end-to-end process from Data Ingestion through to Data Publishing
